PR and TWP

Dear Friends,

Need some advise about PR and TWP.
I am in process of applying for TWP and start working in Alberta in July 2010. I met a Immigrant Consultant/Lawyer in London in a Canada-Expo Show.
He advised me that I can also apply for PR from UK instead of waiting for the Provinical nomination and then applying for PR in Canada.
Can I apply for PR at same time of applying for TWP.
Any Suggestions.

Re: PR and TWP

hello
that is exactly what we did last year, OH has LMO and Job offer , so we sent both applications at the same time, TWP came through in four months and still waiting for PR 7 months later....think it will be a while longer yet from the sounds of it. He is on the NOC 38 list , but not making it any quicker having a job offer. He is currently in Canada about to start work. Im still in the UK.

Hope that helps.

Its only possible in many cases to get PR with a certain occupation.

Have you read the "Read me" post at the top of the page and the immigration wiki it links to?
