PR living in Vancouver - working for US company
I have my PR visa and have just recently moved to Vancouver from the UK, I have got some freelance work through a friend with a US company in San Francisco.
My question is if the San Francisco company offered me a full time job could I take it? I would not be moving to the states I would always be working remotely from Vancouver, perhaps a rare visit for a meeting if required (maybe only 1 or 2 a year at a guess) but never there actually working for weeks on end.
Just wondered if a full time position could be taken as opposed to freelancing?
What happens with regards to tax do I pay two lots of tax, once in us and then again in Canada.
They do not have any Canadian offices and I would be paid in US dollars.
