Re: PR cards not recieved yet!!!!!!!!
There is a 'right to travel' permit, for the cost of a trip to London and 50 bucks.
However UK passport holders needn't worry about it. The only stress is whether the airline will let you board, because if you do not have the right to be in Canada, the airline has to pay for your return flight. Air Canada have on their website, a passage that states a right to travel permit / PR card is not required by them if you have a UK passport. Yay Commonwealth! (All above info i found in this web place. However, i admit to not having to worry aboot this, as our PR cards were forwarded to us in the UK from our buddies in Canada.) Incidentally, your stated time frame is not something to worry about. The ants in your pants are down to impatience, not due to a genuine cause for concern. This is entirely understandable; I was much the same way. It will be a relief when the cards finally show up (which they will) but in the meantime, occupy your mind with the billion other things you need to worry about before August 13th :D Good luck! |

Ours took 6 weeks from Mid March and then all arrive except our youngest. We received a letter 2 weeks later saying that her pictures needed to be retaken so we had to make a special visit to Vancouver Immigration.
Don't worry they will turn up. |
