What is likely to show up on your police cert?

will driving offences hinder your chances, even minor ones?

minor driving offences should not feature, but anything serious like drink driving will

As above;

Only drink drive, dangerous driving and death by dangerous driving will show up.

sorry guys,above information is wrong.
there were two offences on my cert.
1.theft of a scooter.(1981,in juvenile court)
2.criminal damage(1995)
i have now got to go to us embassy to see(hope)they give me my visa

The OP and the following reply were correct as they were talking about driving offenses.

Your crimes were not driving offenses but standard criminal acts.

Provided your criminal record is clean from 95 onwards you should be OK.
