points for education
Dear Sir,
I have completed my Bachelor degree in Engineering. That is 16 years of fulltime study. My wife is having the same education qualifications. How much point I get for the Education? How much point I get for adaptibility factor? It is not clear on CIC website. Regards and Thanks. |
Re: points for education
It is absolutely clear on the CIC website - you will get 20 points for a single
Bachelor degree with at least 14 years of education and for the same education of your spouse you'll get 4 points in the adaptability factor. -- ../.. Re: points for education
How does one go about documenting the number of years of education? I collected all
our transcripts since first grade. However, CIC makes no mention of these, requiring only the university-level transcripts. Should I submit them anyway? Apollo |

CIC would make the assumption that you successfully completed elementary and high school or equivalent as a basis for getting the degree. PMM |
Re: points for education
Thanks PMM. I'll do as you suggest and submit only our university-related documents.
As long as were on this topic, could you answer one more thing? My wife has a an M.A. degree from Germany, but all we have is a diploma. She insists that German universities do not normally issue transcripts, so we cannot submit same. We do have her scholarship award documents that prove duration of study. Would these suffice, you think? At any rate, we think that we have enough points even if CIC does not give her points for the M.A. degree (85 points without the M.A.). In a case like this, will CIC process the application or place our application on hold until we produce the M.A. transcript?
