Plumber job interview Sask

Hi peep's

My hubby had a job interview for a plumbing position in Sask. He had a Skype interview lined up but due to some technical issues with Skype that evening he ended up having a 15 minute telephone interview with a the managing director of the business, job related questions were asked and my hubby answered them quiet confidently , however my husband feels quiet deflated after the interview and he feels that his interview was rushed! My husband said that the interview was more like a check list interview .. if that makes sense. Anyway at the end of the telephone interview the interviewer said that he had a few more candidates to interview and he would get back in touch if he had been successful. We are about 30/70 but to be honest the business must of had some interest or they wouldn't have interviewed him!

What do you think?
Has anyone had a similar kind of interview ?

Thanks Nuck:confused:

Have you searched the forum for info on Regina? I've never been but iirc the negatives are generally described as a flat & featureless landscape, crime (highest crime rate of any city in Canada), expensive to get internal flights anywhere, and with horrendous winters.

But a quick search should bring up lots of relevant threads which will give you an overview. There's also a good Wiki article if you haven't seen it already.

HTH.

Really? Out of interest, what do you think will be better than Glasgow?

As I've said above, I've not been to Regina but have been to Glasgow, if I had to go and live in one of them I'd choose Glasgow instantly! Just for the nicer architecture, lower crime rate, proximity to Europe, and easier winters. Horses for courses and all that though.

Good luck with it.

Glasgow my friend has some lovely buildings but other than that it is a shithole drugs everywhere under age drinking teenage pregnancies the list goes on nobody in glasgow has respect for themselves or the city when you stayed here where did you stay. Low crime rate glasgow is/was the knife crime capital of Europe

 I didn't say Glasgow had a low crime rate (I'm aware it's one of the worst in the UK), I said lower. Regina has double the murder rate of Glasgow.

So you get you get the drugs and the far higher crime rate, but without the benefit of any nice architecture. ;)

Again, what do you think will be better than Glasgow out of interest? None of the things you've mentioned will, so I'm intrigued. Are you just doing it for the adventure? Fair enough if so, but if it's to escape crime or similar, then I'd suggest you look at a different city in Canada.

The adventure yes but also to get me in and get my red seal sorted if we like it we will stay if not we will move. I feel the future for my kids will be better. Maybe not in regina but Canada will offer more in the long run

Lots come on here saying they are doing it for the kids, wonder about the rationale and how it will be better for the kids? We have the same problems as everywhere else, just different scenery. A lot depends on who they meet and what influences them.
