Plumber Gas Engineer
 
Hi I am a plumber and gas engineer looking to live and work in Canada has anyone got any contacts ? where do I start ? my wife also works with the elderly as a carer.

Unless you have a degree, you can forget calling yourself an engineer in Canada. Engineer is a protected title unlike in the UK. Not sure if you need a red seal either.

yes you do need a redseal my husband was a gas engineer for BG and had his city & guilds in plumbing advanced and all the rest. He re qualified in BC as a gas fitter. you need to do this with in one year of landing. Be prepared it is nothing like UK gas fitting no soldering or copper bending. He attended a local college to do this 3 times a week.

Ok thanks ! who is his employer did he just email plumbing firms for job vacancies, is the pay good?
