PLEASE HELP! CONFUSED WITH TAX RETURN!!
 

Hey guys,

So I'm using turbotax to file my tax return (I'm now back in the UK after a year in Canada.) Can I file online this year as it is my first year filling??? I've heard lots of mixed responses on this.

Also I don't understand how they pay you. On direct deposit section It asks for a branch number and institution number?? Will they only pay into a Canadian BANK ACCOUNT????

As from last year they will accept a first return by Netfile.

Yes. If you don't put any bank information in they will send you a cheque. Yu just have to make sure Netfile will accept your UK address.

Is there no way to get them to pay into a UK bank account then?

and am I right in thinking that for tax purposes I am classed as a Canadian Resident?

How long were you in Canada for? Will you be declaring your canadian income to HMRC?

OK I can't use Netfile because I am outside of Canada so I need to mail my return. I lived in Ontario for 10 months where do I mail it? Do I use the address for non-residents/international tax office services even though I am a resident for tax purposes???

or do I send it to;

Canada Revenue Agency
Tax Centre
1050 Notre Dame Avenue
Sudbury ON P3A 5C2?????

Any help is much appreciated.
