Playstation 2 Games.....and Their Compatability

My two lads asked me a question regarding their PS2 games wether they would play on Canadian PS2 consoles. I'm positve that they won't but in the UK you can get consoles "chipped" , do they have to discard all their games (approx 50), or is there a way around this....??

goto here http://computermarkets.co.uk/ see when a market is on locally, take the ps2 have it chipped, it will then play all region dvd's and also ntsc and pal games, just need to get a voltage converter on arrival in Canada, good luck :)

There is also the option of getting it chipped by post. I know of a few sites that do it so PM me if you would like me to send them to you.
(Not sure of the legality of chipping Playstations so I think best of I don't put the links in this post!)
:D
