Bit of a wierd one.

Does anyone know how I can call a friend who is in New York city from my home phone in New Brunswick?
The friend has a british mobile phone.:confused:

Dial the normal UK number, i.e. 00 44 etc. If she has a UK mobile, and it has been activated to work in the US by her UK telephone provider it will send the signal back across to NYC to he phone. Expensive of course, but it will work.

Skype....using "skype out"....your cost will be less than 2 cents a minute.

it took me ages to get onto Skype but eventually gave in to the badgerings of many people. I am a great fan now - highly recommended.

erm... does nb have a different international direct dialing prefix than bc (or the rest of canada and the us for that matter)? my calls to overseas look like this: 011 + country code + regional code without the starting national prefix + number

so, if i'd like to call say the my friend in france - who has lives in the eastern part of the country and has the number 03 12 34 56 78 - from canada i dial: 011 33 3 12 34 56 78

Hi

Don`t know an answer to your phone question but beware you may get stung with a big bill for that one. I suggest you use a phone card (liberty work well) to try and contact your friend.

Whats NB like??? Thinking of moving there from the Prairies (Saskatoon). Is it better over in NB? Must be nice living near the coast. This place is nice but it is in the middle of nowhere. Any feedback appreciated.
