Pharmacist in need of help

Hi everyone! After many yrs of day dreaming on moving to Canada I have finally decided to get in with it. I have registered to do the first exams for pharmacy registration in london in January but then comes the task of immigration. There seem to be so many avenues to consider. Can any1 help? I am 30 with a partner and 2 younglings. When should I start the application process? Many thanks. I am overwhelmed by all the immigration info.

I don't think the exams are offered outside of Canada. I know they weren't two years ago and I see no evidence on the pebc website that they are now:

Hey.. You nearly gave me a heart attack. The link you gave me is for pharmacy technicians. Pharmacists have the option of sitting the ee in london uk.

I know someone who worked for the examining board, up to a couple of years ago. That's where I got the impression that the exams were only held in Canada. I recall tales of people travelling from all over, spending their last penny, just to fail for the final time (usually because their English wasn't good enough).

Glad that they do it in London cos that saves alot! the second exams will be in canada tho'. my only problem now apart from studying for those exams is what to apply for in terms of immigration and when to start the process...

I expect Souxsie will be along to suggest a visa route. No doubt it'll take a long time to process so sooner will be better than later.

The main things that you will have to learn are that paracetomol and acetaminophen (Tylenol) are exactly the same freakin' thing and that it is normal in Canada to sell them in catering packs of high dose.

No way!!!! I would have to get used to that. It sounds so wrong considering in the uk max otc is 2x32 and even that is at the pharmacist's discretion!

I don't see the problem , you can kill yourself with 32 , you can kill yourself with 300

does it matter about the pack size?

at least this way if you have a household with the flu you don't have to go out foraging for paracetamol every fricken day
