Hi,

As you can see I have lived in Peterborough for nearly three and a half years, I like it, as animal said it has everything you need, but obviously not Toronto.

I moved here on my own not knowing a soul, but have made some great friends. I find it a freindly place, I rented for a while, I had an appartment in a great location on little lake, however I have now bought a house, and decided to put roots down in the area.

I love that its in spitting distance of what I would call real Canadian wilderness.....the Kawarthas and its beautiful lakes.

Just dont bother listening to the local radio stations....they play the same songs over and over again! and I dont understand why! I often feel like Bill Murray's character from the movie groundhog day some mornings when I wake up! with the same songs playing! LOL! Sirus radio has become my friend with CBC radio for news coverage.

Our rental is close to Little Lake I think. We live in NS at the moment and I listen to UK radio stations as they are just as bad out this way!

Hope to be able to say hello in person once we finally arrive!

:)

You're on the other side of Little Lake.

Yes its all a really nice neighbourhood on and around little lake, its the best of both worlds as downtown is a short walk away (depending which area near little lake you are located) As animal said Rileys is good pub food and reasonably priced for the amount you get and a great roof top patio...although drinks are very expensive

I loved NS, I went there on vacation 2 years ago, would definitely go back even though the weather was terrible.

Hope your move goes smoothy. There are a few "Peterboroughians" on here that can answer any questions you may have. Chat to you again!
