Permanent Resident Cards !!!

Don't know if some of you have seen it, but this si what the PR card looks like, it's not a bad looking card, and its got all sort of security features on it, you have only got to hold it up to the light, to see you details.

From the time you came into the country, to when you became a PR.

The cards below, are just demos, and do not reflect anyone in particular, so don't worry about identity theft !

Well, damn. Too bad I won't be getting one of those. Good ol' CIC rejected my application a while back, as it usually does to a lot of people of British descent. *yawn* Nothing new there.

But I do have a cute university card. Now that's some consolation, isn't it? :D

Figured as much.....and where did the degree come from.....oh, no, not one of our govt run universities in a capitalist society.......oh, my god, say it isn't so......and how did you pay for your expensive education Dan......couldn't have been from living off the land.....did the parent pay for it.....or did you work.......in a capitalist society.....you cetainly seemed to have benefited from this capitalist society that you now hate so much!!!!
mmmm.......somehow doesn't add up!!!!

Oh, and Dan, you never did say why CIC rejected your application.....perhaps you might have better luck if you applied to a communist country perhaps like Cuba......why would you want to come to Canada with such a capitalist society......mmmmm....

Re: Permanent Resident Cards !!!

oh, no, not one of our govt run universities in a capitalist society..
1) The universities aren't exactly government run, but some of the funding comes from the government (and the money the government has comes from taxes).
2) I pay thrice as much tuition as Canadian students pay. Canadians actually benefit from my money, which goes to building a lot of facilities.
3) I would expect that the corrupt government would be at least kind enough to give me PR when I've spent basically $70,000 on a university education.

Thanks a lot, but at least I've BOUGHT the university card I have. I don't need a PR card, as fancy as it might look. :D

I didn't come to Canada because I believed in a capitalist society. I came to Canada for personal reasons which I'm not going to mention here. Besides the fact that 4 years ago I wasn't even close to being an anarchist. :D See what corrupt governments do to people? :D

The most secured drivers licence in North America, and that is a fact:

Its good to see that its actually cheaper in ontario ( $50 every 5 yrs ) to renew your licence, compared to $55 in Alberta. Still waiting for them to drop the front licence plate, so we can save some money on that, instead of having to buy both front and back

So.....what....so do many other foreign students.....that's the privilege that you have in coming to Canada and attending one of our capitalist universities. No one is denying that the money is not well spent, so you were willing our capitalist society then.....mmmm....

Why should they.....your PR card is something you earn.....not a reward because you came to Canada and used the system for your benefit and now claim that the system that helped you to earn a degree is corrupt.

You are so hypocritical it is unbelieveable. You come to this country - use the system left, right and center for a university education.....and then turn around and say......Canada is a corrupt country with a corrupt government....can't have it both ways Dan old boy.

Then please Dan, if you're that unhappy with Canada move somewhere else with all your other friends where you can overthrow the govt or where they have a govt that you agree with and share the happiness that you have so generously shared with us......with the people of the new country....and see how long you last.

The only reason you are still able to be an anarchist in this Canada Dan, old boy, old son, old gun, is because Canada is a tolerant and liberal country is willing to tolerate "nuts" like you.

From taxes, that's right. And your point is? Those taxes come from the money earned by working day and night. Are you telling me the capitalist swine in the government somehow deserve credit for this?

So.....what....so do many other foreign students.....that's the priviledge that you have to coming to Canada and attending one of our capitalist universities. No one is denying that the money is not well spent, so you were willing our capitalist society then.....mmmm....
Privilege? When I pay that much money, I should get something back. It's not a privilege, it's a right (otherwise it'd be theft), as per your "capitalist" government.

Why should they.....your PR card is something you earn.....
Yes, like the Governor General's medal. Right? So corrupt is your capitalist society, that not even the recipient of the Governor General's award (probably the highest academic award in Canada) "earns" the "right" to live in the country. Hahaha, he's talking about "earning the right"... You must be kidding, right?

not a reward because you came to Canada and used the system for your benefit and now claim that the system that helped you to earn a degree is corrupt.
I'm sorry? The system that "helped" me earn my degree? Hahaha, you must be kidding.. 1) The system didn't pay me 1 cent towards my degree. 2) University is not about going to lectures and making use of the computers on-campus. I'd like to think that I did all the job of getting an education.

Anyway, so who's the government to tell me where I can live and where I can't?

My point is....that you said that they aren't really govt controlled...and my point is...yes they are.....because they receive at least 50% of the funding from the feds/prov...so when the govts at either level cut the budget...the universities make cuts are well. That is all about living in a capitalist society.....by paying taxes we help support others....and remember you took advantage of this......What do you think would happen if the govts decided to completely cut funding to the universities.....the cost would become "out of reach"for almost everyone.....so yes they do deserve credit....Dan old boy

You did get something back dingdong....you were a foreign student and Canada allowed you space in a canadian university to receive a university degree from a credited university in Canada, which is more than some Canadians born and raised here ever got. What the hell more do you want free toilet paper with that. If you didn't want to pay the tuition fees then get your post-secondary education where you came from. Why are we so lucky to have you honour us with your presence?

That's right buddy - it's still a right to earn a PR....did you really expect us to just hand you a PR because you earn a degree here and received an award....tell me another story....I'm getting bored....you really expect the world to give you everything on a platter don't you?

Of course the system helped you to "earn" the degree...were you not given a place in a university to work towards that degree;Did you not have professors, room and board, etc. to aid in getting the education. So you earned your own way through university in a capitalist society I might add......well, so did I buddy boy, and I have 2 degrees and worked every summer to help pay for my education. ...so we both had to work hard to get our degrees.......please, stop the cockodile tears, you're breaking my heart.....there are many other kids that had to do the same thing. I don't begudge the fact that I had to work my ass off for 6 years.....in fact it has assisted me in every way.

No one is telling you where you can and can't live Dan old boy.....the point is that I think you should be sharing some of that wonderful positive attitude with others who think like you.....because your principles will never materialize in the Canada that I know and love........
