Permanent Resident Card

I am planning to land in Canada sometimes in January and leave after five days to sort things out back at home. When I get there do I have to fill in another form to apply for Resident Card or is it going to be posted automatically to the address that I give at the airport after landing?

Thanks.

Posted to the Canadian address, or you could get a stickler who will tell you to send an address in once you return permanently.

To re-enter Canada after you have landed you will need your LI Card to get on the plane. Mine took about 5 weeks to arrive and I only received it the day before I was due to return to the UK. There are options like going to the High Commission in London and filling out another form but my lawyer advised I not mention to the airline that I was emigrating. Depends who is checking the passports at the boarding gate. Good Luck.
