Default Re: Pension Options

Having been contracted out for a great deal of time does throw a bit of a spanner in the works and makes things complicated. Because of that we were both limited to the number of years we could 'buy back' from the past but managed to buy as follows:

Me - Have 26 years , buy back 8 years from the past ( 4 before 2016 and 4 after ) and then pay by DD for the next 4 years. Therefore have to buy 12 years to add to my 26 to get max 35 years in ( confusing I know )
Mrs - Have 28 years , buy back 6 years from the past ( 4 before 2016 and 4 after )and then pay by DD for the next 4 years. Therefore have to buy 10 years to add to her 28 to get max 35 years in.
