Hi All

I live in Singapore and I need to apply for a FBI clearence. Can somebody pls clarify the following for me;

1) Is a letter to FBI requesting a claerence enough. If so, is it enough to provide my first name, last name & passport number.
2) If a fingerprint is required then where can I get a FBI fingerprinting card.
3) How much is the charge.
4) what is the address I should send my request to.

as usual thanks in advance for any tips.

Cheers

No.

Your local police should have a 5 finger and palm print card.

Hi PMM

Thanks for the quick response. The website says that I have to obtain a FBI fingerprint card from their US office by sending a request. My question is, do they mail the card to overseas address spending postage money from their pocket.

Thanks

Cheers

you dont *have* to use an FBI card if you dont want. I know many americans applying
inland from Canada who have just used generic fingerprint cards from local law
enforcment places that fingerprinted them and just wrote for canadian immigration on
them and they were accepted fine.
