hi everyone just registered i live in the u.k. I'm married with 3 children and we are hoping to move to canada within a year. Lots of questions to ask I am a carpenter ,is there anyone out with any advice possibly calagary area:)

Hi Paul,

Just wanted to say welcome to the board. Can't help with Calgary area, but I'm sure someone will come along soon with a bit more info. If not, maybe post on the main bit of the forum where it might get more attention.

Hi Paul, welcome to BE. OH is a carpenter but we are looking to go to NS. Have you applied for any jobs yet? Have you been over to Calgary?

I live just north of Calgary. Job vacancies in Alberta, as a whole, are quite high right now, lots of construction, oilfield stuff etc. As for carpentry specifically, I'm not too sure, but there are lots of useful links on BE, and lots of free advice from knowledgable people.
