Default Passport wait...Calgary Hotels ?

We are hoping to fly out, Land and spend a week in Calgary / Edmonton on 17th April. Flights with Canadian Affair are £1000 cheaper than BA and AC. Car hire looks good and we told the schools. Hoping to book last minute.

However, it is all resting on if the passports come back in time. 3 weeks tomorrow it will be, plus the Easter break. Just hope they come back so we can get it booked and the landing done. Real focus can then be on work.

Populating a spreadsheet of goods to follow rather than the forms.

Any tips on reasonable clean hotels close to Calgary ?????

Cheers and Happy Easter

If it is with Canadian Affair we hopefully will be another stressed family landing with you !!

If this does materialise perhaps we can meet up at the airport and have a coffee or something stronger

Yes, we are flying Canadian Affair, if I remember correctly (all the paperwork and visa's are in a safe place at the moment!) we leave Gatwick at 1150 hrs, we are just trying to decide whether to do a spreadsheet for our goods to follow or if the removal firms paperwork would be ok, what are you doing?

We are landing, stay a week.

We have made a list of some sorts.

Probably revise, add a little but would rather sell as much over here and buy new, as electricals will stay.

Just this min looking at website and for 4 of us down to £1224, last night was £1400. Just hope that if passports come back there are enough seats !!!

Are you moving or landing ?

Where are you heading ?

I would imagine that most hotels in Calgary are clean. If you let us know what quadrant of the City you will be spending most of your time in, suggestions will flow thick and fast. For a cheapy with good, clean facilities, you will struggle to find much better than the Super 8 in Shawnessy. However, such a hotel will not be much good if you wish to spend a good deal of your time in the extreme NW. The northern Super 8 is a hole.

We are moving We paid £1350 for 4 seats, but they were one way and we also upgraded. We are staying in the Radisson Hotel for and few days and having a holiday (to de-stress from saying bye to all the family) and have some rental property for viewing. I am sure your passposts will be back, we have our fingers crosses for you that they are!
