:eek:This is it..I got the brown envelope this morning requesting my passport..I will hand deliver it on Monday as I don't want any cock ups at this stage. I'd like to thank everyone on here for their help and advise .l couldn't have done it on my own.:thumbsup:

I sent my forms and fees to Canada on the 5Th of December 08...Sponsor accepted on the 3rd of January 09...London started to process on the 14Th Jan...Got a letter on the 1st of March asking for my Medical and Police Certs from Ireland and UK...Did the medical on the 3rd at Harley St...sent in the police certs 21st of March..I was asked for another police(Irish)cert as my name was misspelled:thumbdown:, on the 20Th April...I got another one 5 days later and sent it in on the 28Th...Passport requested on 16Th of May:thumbsup:..So about 5 months...Not bad.

How long did it take for CHC to send you back your passport?

I will apply for common-law visa soon outland but will be staying as a tourist in Canada (fingers crossed) but I presume I will need to fly back to the UK so that I can send my passport in? I will not risk sending it from Canada! But just wondering how long they keep it for?

I took it there myself and was givin a receipt and told to come back in two weeks..well I picked up my passport today with my shiny visa inside...Happy Days.:thumbsup:.got to sell the flat now..any takers..
