If you are British they have to go to Washington DC. But good luck with that as ours have been there nearly 2 weeks with no movement due to the weather down there. Not too bad you might think but we have to send them off to LA for PR by mid March:eek::eek:

hey,

you need to go here: http://ukinusa.fco.gov.uk/en/passports

It took around 8 weeks for us, we sent ours off end of Sept and got them back start of November '09.

cheers,

As Alanandson says, they no longer issue/renew UK passports in Canada, you have to send them to Washington as of mid to late 2009. Mine took 5 weeks. If you have any issues, the call/help centre is in Scotland and you have to give them your credit card details before they will speak to you. It costs almost C$3 a minute. Beaurocracy at it's best.
