Passport expiry restriction to Canada
Hey everyone,
So my parents are booked to visit Canada next week but my mum is concerned about my dad's passport because it expires in September this year. We have searched online and can't find anything about a 6 month rule but there is nothing online that clearly states you will not be turned away if it is not valid within this time!
Does anyone have any experiences with this? I have told my dad to just get a new one before he comes but he said he phoned the embassy and they "think" it will be ok. I am not comfortable with that. I really would not want them to travel all the way from London and then have to hop back on the plane because of passport expiry date!
Any help or web links greatly appreciated.

Re: Passport expiry restriction to Canada
You don't need 6 months left on your passport but your entry will be limited to the time left on your passport
Ie you won't be admitted for the full 6 months
I'm sure formerlancastrian will confirm ( or correct me if I'm wrong !)

Your passport should be valid for the proposed duration of your stay. No additional period of validity beyond this is required.
