Paragliding
 

Hi all, I'm thinking of moving to either Golden or Invermere BC and wondered if anybody has paraglided in these areas and and can pass on their comments.

Nope never flown outside of ON or UK, and i don't know of many paraglider pilots on this forum either,
I'd try out the HPAC web site, http:www.hpac.ca for any contacts

However I do know it a popular flying site out west, as they ran an articule in the september magazine

Hey Mike,

If you do come and visit us it maybe worth bringing your kit. Sun peaks (about 20-30 minutes away) does Paragliding.

Never paraglided (yet anyway), but know Golden has what is supposed to be a great paragliding site. Went to both Golden and Invermere this year to fact find, but decided not to live there, though scenery wise they are both fantastic places.

I'm nowhere near a pilot but I have done some hang gliding when I use to live on Vancouver Island. I remember my instructor mentioning Mount Seven (or something like that) near Golden as one of his favourite BC places to glide - I'm not sure how that translates to paragliding, I don't know much about that but there you go.
