For $80 you can get a multi-region Blu-Ray player that will also convert PAL to NTSC.

Assuming Walmart is still selling them, anyway.

Interesting, would that be just a conversion of the blu-rays, or you could actually hook your cable box through the blu-ray to the tv? Do you know the brand and model blu-ray player?

i mean you put PAL DVDs or Blu-Rays into the player and NTSC comes out. Unfortunately there's no video input, but it means there's no need for a PAL TV to view PAL disks.

It's a Seiki BD660; the multi-region unlock code is on the web somewhere, and it's the only multi-region Blu-Ray player I know of that doesn't require hardware mods.
