Ontario - Vehicle Permit address change
 

Recently moved house, so I sent off the slip for address change that's in the right hand corner of a vehicle permit.

What has come back is a label (which you have to lick!) and attach to the plate side (right hand piece) of the permit over the old address.

Now the vehicle side (left hand piece) remains unchanged with my old address, is that correct?

Not sure why they don't just send out a new one with the address reprinted on both halves?

I suspect it's some anti-fraud move. Don't want too many permits for the same car floating about or OTOH, perhaps just a cheaper way to do it.

Yes, don't have a massive problem with that.... More concerned that the left half of the permit still has my old address, does that matter? Not sure why they don't send you two labels, one for each half?
