British Expats - in Ontario

hi, just a brief update...moved to Ontario from Saskatchewan drove around 36 hours...when we got here at 2.30am in the morning to find the lock on the rented house was frozen so spent the night in a hotel...my thread is about the fact we have been here since the beginning of december 2010 i havent been working my husband has found a little work just enough to keep a roof over our heads...i am so frustrated that im still not working the job market here seems there are few jobs and the person with the most needed to the job discription gets it..so few jobs yet so many people want one...we also got sucked in by a realtor here and is now in the process of getting a house built i feel right now we cant afford the mortgage payment on top of the $5500 taxes on the house..but as usual my husband is "stop worrying we will be fine"..i cant see how and we are getting our dream home built i feel just to have it taken away from us...we moved to Ontario because my children moved here to live with there dad plus other reasons too so for any mum it seemed the only thing for me to do was sell up and move closer to them..starting to feel like we made our first very large mistake since moving to Canada...any views are welcome
