ontario!!
i have a dilemma...we currently live in saskatchewan..ive not been happy here since we bought our own house in a very rural place..we both have good jobs..my dilemma is that my children's dad live in london ontario, they only get to see him once a year are currently there now visiting..every year i get the same thing from them they want to live with their dad..i know we wont be staying here but i dont want to live in a big city either...so im thinking of moving closer to him gives me the option of going to college and my son too, plus they get to see there dad more and i get more free time too...what is the job situation like there now? and i want to buy a house with 3 bedrooms with about 3 acres, semi rural...what price am i looking at...also where would i be looking to live within an hours drive from london ontario..thanks for your input..and any other advice given

Re: ontario!!
You don't say what line of work you are in.... so it's impossible to say.

Re: ontario!!
Woodstock.
We have realies there, it's a Big small town. 30 min to London and cheap housing. |
Re: ontario!!
Like G77 says, the job market will depend what you do. What you do is going to dictate where you go to some extent, and that certainly will dictate property costs etc.
"Close" to Windsor is a very relative thing, setting out from SK. I suppose the good news is that the economy in Windsor is reeling from the automotive shutdowns over the last few years, so property round there is relatively cheap. But as you probably realise, the more remote /isolated, the less you pay for an equivalent place, but the harder it may be to find appropriate employment. |
Re: ontario!!

I'm sure there's suitable places halfway between here and London though... |

Ingersoll and Woodstock are relativley cheap for housing, and Woodstock has improved tons over the past 18 years or so, alot more shopping and restaurants, and yet still only 1/2 to London, if you want the big centres like Whiteoaks etc. Good luck with the move. Cheers Karen |
