Hi and welcome to BE!
There's lots of online clothing stores including Next but I don't know of any that offer a credit account other than an in-store credit card.

I don't know, but based on credit "offers" from companies like Aarons that sell computers, TVs and other household items on weekly/fortnightly/monthly payments I'd steer well clear if there were.
They typically charge about four times what the item really costs and they advertise such things as a special offer

Re: Online Shopping Canada
I buy a lot of clothes, books, etc etc online, some from Canadian stores and some from the US
I've never seen online credit cards offered.
When I buy from The Bay (Canada's largest department store) online or instore, I use my Bay credit card.
When I buy from anywhere else online, I use Visa or MasterCard.
Department stores seem to traditionally have very high interest rates at ca 19+% on unpaid amounts, bank credit cards have somewhat lower interest rates.
One interesting fact is that statements for credit cards now have to tell you how long it would take you to pay off the amount if you paid only the minimum amount every month.
I/we never pay only part of amount due, the money is always there to pay in full .......... but I loved the M/C statement after a holiday that said it would take over 110 years to pay it off

Amazon does them...or at least used to.
But the OP is asking about something different. From the time you left the UK, maybe you might remember the Brian Mills catalogue? You could buy things with a weekly payment and people could be agents similar to Avon.

Re: Online Shopping Canada
I did realise what she was talking about!
I knew about those types of catalogues, offers in the Sunday newspapers, and then about the online versions, but I never used them. I didn't have any kind of store card or credit card before I left the UK ....... always paid in full in cash or by cheque. If I didn't have the money, I didn't buy it!
I have never bought anything from Amazon, so have no idea how people pay except I've heard PayPal can be used.
I still wouldn't get any card other than the 3 I mentioned above ............. if a site won't take M/C or Visa, hard lines.

Re: Online Shopping Canada
Innovations is the one - how I managed without an electronic revolving tie rack all those years is beyond me!

Ah, okay. It was just that the OP asked about credit accounts rather than the store credit cards (online or otherwise) you were talking about, so I wasn't sure.
Yes, Innovations. There is something similar here...it has "as seen on TV" on many of the ads. I always liked Private Eye's xmas gifts of similar but fake usefulness.

Yeah, I don't think you'll find anything like La Redoute or Littlewoods here

I noticed this morning on Wayfair.ca that some items are sold on monthly terms via something called PayBright.

Re: Online Shopping Canada
M&S was here at one time. They’re probably an upscale version of Littlewoods. There were stores in malls in and around Toronto. Unfortunately it’s merchandising methods didn’t go over well in Canada (North America) and they lost a fair chunk of change. Eventually they closed shop and slumped off the continent, I think in the late 70s/early80s. I liked their food halls but found their clothing old fashioned in terms of NA at that time.

I bought some yellow trousers in Littlewoods once.
