For CBSA purposes no return ticket required. Some airlines can be a bit sticky. Many have flow Air Transat on one ways. Check with the airlines on their policy.

I called Airtransat and they had no issue with me booking one way but that it would be down to immigration. But as I have my LMO, job offer etc I am assuming there should be no issues hopefully

We got one way and weren't even asked by immigration or the airline about it!

I had no problem myself, but when my partner, kids, and dog came to join me,the staff in the UK were dismal.
They started arguing with my partner, telling her that she would be turned back at Canada, also told her that our dog would be put into quarantine etc..
My 5 year old,6 year old,and 8 year old daughters were standing in tears already at this point when UK customs decided to pat down and search my 3 young girls.(hardly terrorist material)
On the Canada side though the staff could not have been any more friendly or helpful.
It kind of sickens me just how badly my family were treated back at Glasgow airport, and makes me even more sure that leaving the sUK was the right thing to do.
