OMG it's Snowing!

I was just about to go to bed just now, when my husband called me to the window. I looked out thinking I was going to see a raccoon or similar, but instead saw large flakes of snow falling.

It is coming down quite fast, not sure if it will amount to anything or not. Our first Canadian snow, although I must admit, I was hoping we would see it a little later than Oct 12th!

I am told by Missus AX, who is Canadian and should know, that big flakes of snow generally mean that if it settles it won't last long (i.e. its 'wet') and small flakes mean the serious stuff thats going to settle and hang around.

It's going to be a balmy 16C here over the weekend. Blowing a gale and chucking it down with rain, but a balmy 16C nevertheless!

Well, we didn't have too much snow overnight here. See attached pics of what it looked like when I got up this morning.

It's all gone now and the sun is shining.

The Niagara region got hit pretty bad, 30 cm snow and 155,000 people without power.

<note to self: get shovels out of garage tomorrow, before it's snowed in. Avoid usual digging into garage with barbecue tools>
