Its an island thing - plans are but a frame work for what actually happens in life  If the OP actually does everything she plans then she will have missed out on one of the biggest things to do on the island - chilllllllllllllll and let life happen.........

I don't do sitting on my backside, I want to be 'go, go, go!' and see as much as I can while I'm still young enough and responsibility free enough to do it! :D I'd love to spend all Summer tootling around with my backpack but unfortunately I can't kennel the dog indefinitely so I'm determined to make the most of my time out there. I'm sure there will be a 3am lull at some point on the trip where I can take stock..

Oi, I resent that! It's true unfortunately, 'twas blowing a gale today.. Sunny in the evening though, chilled out at the park with the pooch.

I'd LOVE to not come back, but the teeny bit of me that says 'that's a ridiculous idea' is what makes me think deep down I am responsible enough to be a pharmacist :D

:rolleyes:if you get stuck in the nanaimo area drop me a PM and I will see what we can do to sort you out and get you going again - would offer a piece of floor to sleep on but as this is our first summer back we have a rota of friends and family coming over  we have run out of room and we are gently suggesting to some that a small trip at certain specific times might be a good way to get the most out of their trip here

What is it they say.. it's the thought that counts? :p Nah seriously, the offer of help is appreciated - I've my fingers crossed that it won't come to that but a back up plan is always useful if everything goes belly up.

Clearly you've been doing far too good a job at selling the Island if everyone's coming over for their Summer holidays :D
