Now you live in Canada ...

Re: Now you live in Canada ...
I know it's a matter of personal taste. But vastly superior?
My subjective opinion is that in _Steve's list, House was ok for a couple of seasons, but then became shit. Most other US shows are shit. I've not seen any "Canadian" ones - but only because they look shit when they are advertised. I watch the local news, but this is despite it being shit.
Where's the documentaries like "Wonders of the universe", "Everything and nothing"; comedy like "Mitchel and Webb" etc. The US has south park I guess, but what's Canada got? "Corner bloody gas" - what a pile of shit.

I'm surprised to find said animal exists and was actually on the telly last night. I might have recorded that had I known. But even though I didn't watch it, it goes without saying it would have been better had it been done by the BBC and david attenborough.

It was narrated by some strange Japanese looking Father Christmas/Bill Oddie figure.

Well, those ferrets look cute. I shall see if there is a repeat and put it to record.

I thought Da Vinci's Inquest was a really good series.
Da Vinci's City Hall looked good too but I never saw much of it.
The Border was a good'un too.

You're obviously not up with the hip crowd, e.g. Erica Durance, Laura Vanderoot, Missy Peregrym, Ryan Reynolds, etc. who seem to be the sort of people who get gossiped about. Who I'd much rather hear about than the cast of Hollyoaks, Jordan etc.

I think I like hour long dramas more than most people do, in the UK they're crap, people overact and the scripts are awful. Can't stand Doctor Who for example. What was that show about MI5, Spooks? That was painfully bad. I tried to watch an episode of Being Human but I'm afraid the only show with vampires in that I could ever watch was Buffy: The Vampire Slayer.

Really? I watched about an episode and a half of it and gave up. Too condescending towards Americans I thought. In fact I noticed on Wikileaks the State Dept. actually wrote a memo about it saying it was an example of how Canadians looked down on Americans.

Also, since you also poo poo the UK made shows, can you name as many Canadian made ones without using Google or any other URL to quickly search for an answer?
