Now the decision's been made ...
 

I'm fortunate to have been offered a job in Calgary and should be coming over later in the year. We may have to leave our two older sons behind but have now made the decision so it's full steam ahead!
One of the first things I've been looking at is Shipping (including two large dogs) and was wondering if there was an easier way of finding the best and most reasonable company other than getting a quote from each.

Welcome to the site. People on the site are pretty nice and usually very helpful.

Don't know where you are in the UK, but we came over to Newfoundland recently from Scotland and used a company in Dunfermline called Pet Travel Services to ship our 2 lab-size dogs out. They were pricey, but provided a good service, making sure we knew everything we had to do, and they got all the paperwork sorted out for us. Also made the dogs transit crates to measure so there was no problems with that. Our dogs were delayed in Heathrow for a day as the flight to Halifax was delayed due to snow, and they were excellent about keeping us up to date with that.
