nova scotia Wolfville/ New Glasgow

can anyone out there give me a low down on Wolfville or New Glasgow areas. Is there much difference in climate between them? I guess more chance of work in New Glasgow.

Thanks

Well they are as different as chalk and cheese....as the saying goes.
Climate is about the same. Wolfville is a Universty town and is kind geared to that. It is small but one thing to remember is it is part of the whole Annapolis Valley Region and that takes in quite a few towns. New Glasgow is bigger than Wolfville and has much more industry than Wolfville so it really depends on what you want to do, what you want to work at, If it were me....my bets are on Wolfville. I have already checked New Glasgow out as a place to live, it is a fine place but Wolfville is so nice and very pretty and the people are outstanding...it is just an all round good place to live. But it really depends on what you want out of life and what you do.
My two cents worth.

I moved to New Glasgow on 8th Jan 2007 from Scotland. A guy I worked with back in Aberdeen is from Wolfeville and he says the Annapolis Valley is really beautiful. New Glasgow area includes Stellerton, Westville and Trenton. The area is nice with some hills and lovely countryside and beaches close by. Not much of a downtown area but has strip malls and the Highland Shopping Mall. It takes 45 minutes to drive to Truro, then a further 45 minutes to Halifax. We are about 15 minutes drive to the PEI ferry and a couple of hours from NB. The people here in NG are extremely friendly and there is lots of sports for the kids, plus cinema complex and ten-pin bowling.

Here is the weather website:

We get incredibly beautiful sunsets here but that may be all over NS or even Canada on a whole.

Here are some local websites:

I suppose it comes down to the line of work you are in really. If you want any other info, just ask :D

You should have a look at these websites:

www.careerbeacon.com

www.workopolis.com

I would think there would be a great need for your trade in Alberta due to the huge expansion of housebuilding as a result of the booming oil industry.
