Hi again

Just thought of another good questions should have asked and totally unrelated to the one I just posted...

We were in Nova Scotia in April and have 10 days spare in August and wanted to go again to do a bit more investigating but on the cheap ha ha..... Not looking like we will manage it at the moment. Flights are expensive at that time. We would ideally fly from Manchester to Halifax but dont do so it means Glasgow or London were in Yorkshire (more expense etc) or do a flight change over the other side. Also where to stay thats reasonable. We are a couple with a son 19 and daughter 15 so any ideas welcome. We stayed at Bishops Landing on the water front in Halifax in an apartment last time and it was lovely but dont want to be in the city this time. Does anyone know of holiday home rentals or hotels that are roomy ? Also cheap flight companies? I think I might be asking a bit too much at the moment.

we're planning a trip to Halifax in April 2010 and noticed that you went this year. What is the weather like at that time of year? We are going part holiday and part recce. Looking and reading from other posts can't wait.

Thank you Silverdragon that is such a helpful link. We can bring some warm clothes with us. Good that the roads will be fine.:thumbsup: Halifax just looks so lovely. I am from a coastal town in Scotland myself and miss being away from the sea

I live about 2 hours from Halifax and only visited a couple of times for a course I am doing so haven't seen much of it but the area where we live is amazing so I am sure you will be fine where ever you go

Raincoats and warm clothing will be a must in April still. We got back from Cuba mid-April this year and landed back in Halifax in the middle of a bad snow blizzard.
It is so difficult to predict the weather here. We've been here 4 years now and haven't had one year that has been the same as the last. Summer this year has been an almost non-event, endless rain and fog in Halifax. The last couple of days though have been fantastic, sunny and temperatures in the mid 30's centigrade.
If you are looking for somewhere special to spend your anniversary and are heading out to the Valley, would really recommend the Queen Anne in Annapolis Royal.

Lovely rooms to stay for that special occasion, take a break from scouting for jobs. The weather isn't too important being Scottish I don't mind it dull, good excuse for some hot stews:wub:
