Nova scotia RED SEAL

Hi has anyone sat the (Construction Craftworker) red seal exam in Nova Scotia ? If so are there any study aides , material that, you could recommend. My family and I are 3yrs into the ups and downs of trying to emigrate  , firstly down the skilled route now, the federal trade .......
with the hope of permenant residency. Our long journey is taking us to sitting a red seal exam in hope of attracting construction companies and securing a job.:fingerscrossed:

There is no such thing as a Red Seal exam. Red Seal is an interprovincial endorsement of the provincial exam. You would sit the Nova Scotia trades exam and if it is a Red Seal Endorsed trade, that qualification is transferable to all provinces and territories that participate in the Red Seal program.

What is your trade?
I am a carpenter and my UK apprenticeship was accepted in Canada. I got residency as a skilled worker without sitting any further exams.

I secured a job from Europe ( I was living in Holland at the time), applied online, telephone interview, and job offer. Came over on a TWP before applying for residency. From job application to arriving in Canada took 4 months, and a further 2 years 3 months to PR.

If you can secure a job with a company the can provide an LMO, it can be a relatively quick process, and your PR will be fast tracked ( within reason) if you are already working in Canada.

Good luck.

Have you looked the Nova Scotia Community Identified Stream as a way of obtaining PR?
