Maybe true for Ottawa not necessarily so for Calgary. ;)

Average annual snowfall for Calgary 126.7cm

And of course Vancouver average annual snowfall 48.2cm:)

How do they come by this figure? Some parts of Vancouver probably have more like 4.82 cm, whereas others have 482 cm.
