Niagara-on-the-Lake - worth a side-trip?

Try the Calamus winery in Twenty Valley. It's not that they go out of their way to cater to kids but they're kid friendly with an outdoor play area and, believe or not, an observatory with a functioning telescope.
They also provide an excellent Gewurtztraminer and a very decent Merlot (at a not-very-moderate price).
PS Nice to make your acquaintance yesterday.

We stopped off in Niagara-on-the-Lake for an afternoon on a wine tour in October, I wouldn't have been able to spend much more time there. We got engaged at the water side there
