We went to the doctor's in Slough - He was great. When it comes time for your medical (which shouldn't be long:fingerscrossed:) I would really recommend him. He even joked that everyone was leaving Bracknell as he'd had so many people book in for medicals from Bracknell!!. Why would anyone want to leave here?!!!
Where are you looking to go to in Canada?.

Great thanks Smithie, if and when we get that far we will certainly take you up on that offer, as so far we only have details for one in London; which is not the best with2 kids ! We have some concerns about quesiotns we have heard on the medical, so a friendly medical seems less daunting. If you are ok sending us a PM can we reply with a couple of questions ?

We are looking to head over to Vancouver as a number of family and friends are there. Ideally my husband would have a job but its unlikely unless you are 'johnny on the spot' and available for interviews ! Hopefully by next year we will have enough money behind us so that we can settle in without having to rely on a job from day 1.

Yes, we were looking at Okotoks, just outside Calgary but it doesn't look as if Alberta is going to be the Province for us. My OH is training to be a Plumber at the mo and the requirements to work in Alberta are too high. He needs 9000 hours & 72 months experience - he could easily achieve the 9000 hours and in 60 months but it has to be 72 and i don't want to wait another year!!!:frown:
We are now looking at BC and ON as he will have the right experience etc for these provinces.

We will not be moving for another 3 years yet but researching like mad and on the forum pretty much everyday having a nosy at everyones threads!! It is very helpful and a laugh to read some of the comments.....

That's a shame about the 72 months experience, is there no way round this?
Seems strange that different provinces have different requirements.

Have you been on a recce to Canada yet?
