Hi and welcome!

Well Vancouver and the Lower Mainland in general is buzzing with construction projects - one of our neighbours is in the construction industry and is hardly ever home because he has so much work and is making a great deal of money. I think he said he has about 3 years' worth of work lined up! So your future may be quite rosy....

Good luck!

Hi all,

There is a few of you in Vancouver already I see.... How long I would love to hear your story.

Teacup

Me & my husband are Building Surveyors currently working as Consultant Building Control Surveyor's ( known as Building Inspectors) for different Local Authorities. Your neighbour may be able to provide us some ideas how to get some work there or where to go. Your help would be appreciated. I forgot to mention prior to becoming Building Surveyor's I was a Hairdresser and my husband was a Bricklayer both qualified. ( Yes we met when we were Surveyor's lol)

I love Canada and have been to different parts but never Vancouver but I know I will love it there.

Keep in touch all.

Years ago I worked for a local London borough in the Building Control department so I've met a few surveyors in my time!

We'll ask him about that and also I know of someone who does house inspections when you need one done prior to mortgage and house selling. He's an expat. Maybe he can help.

I'll look into this but it might take a couple of days and I'll PM you.
