Sounds good Michelle. Don't forget if you need any advice or help just ask. My regulars have a wealth of knowledge and we would be more than happy to help you in any way we can.
I assume that your family in Oakville will be checking the local papers for rentals. Burlington has become quite expensive, although not as expensive as Oakville. I don't think you will be sorry moving into Burlington. Depends where your OH will be working of course.

We think we might be renting a townhouse in Burlington called Geogian Court, anyone know of them?? My hubby is a personal trainer/health advisor/nutritionist, what do you reckon on him getting a job? He is looking whilst here in the Uk and there seems to be plenty of gym's. Is there a local council?
Thanks for your offer of help and advice, hope you don't regret offering!!!!

Hi All,
Fairly new to Stoney Creek (5-6months) and love Burlington and will be looking to live there as soon as my wife and I are settled, well she is but i'm still looking for work (interview tomorrow so fingers crossed).
Lester for Chester, where is the poacher? I don't suppose you have the Wales vs England game on Saturday - is it even available anywhere?
Have been to a few others there and love emma's back porch especially in summer!
If people do arrange a meet please let me know!
Cheers,
Ian

Hi
We've been living in Burlington for 3 years and in Oakville before that. We are in the Orchard (Appleby/Upper Middle) which has been a great location for us with everything close by especially Bronte Provincial Park.
Haven't tried The Poacher yet but I think we will be making a trip downtown to sample the beer very soon as a good British pub is the only thing my husband misses!

Thanks - good location then, just around the corner from the Martini House and close to waterfront.

Funny story Miss C. I will show it to Janet when she gets home. (We live close to Lakeshore and Appleby) Look forward to meeting you. How lucky were we to have the weather on St. Pats day, now look at it!
Britstu, your comments are much appreciated. If you haven't been in lately we now have London Pride on tap. I have put one in the book for you.
I stumbled upon this site by accident. It's great to have such a forum, I'm going to tell others about it.

The Poacher is a good bar. I'll be there whenever.

I checked on my channel guide (Rogers) and they have it listed and it is already in the pvr scheduled recordings for me...I'll be out and about that morning so I'll try and avoid the score.

I also live in Burlington... been here for a year now and my appartment is about a 2 minute walk from The Poacher. I have actually never been in there though... sounds like I have missed out

Well, regretfully I will not be there tomorrow to watch the game - I will be in England.
However, the next game, I will be certain to wander down there for a pint and a match
