New Kid On The Block

Hi All,
Just wanted to take the plung and drop a message to say I'm a new comer to all this. I discovered the web site just by chance whilst doing various searces on emigrating to Canada. Looks like there's plenty of helpfull advice to be had out there :)

Well who am I you may ask. My name is Simon & my wifes name is Cathy. Shes the one who's talked me into emigrating to Mississauga, Toronto and as my works pretty crap at the momement it didn't take much talking. We have 2 kids (6 & 4) they aren't really aware of whats going on yet just have fond memories of our recent trip (august 04) to Canada.

We've just started filling out the forms so it all seems a pretty long way away yet. My wifes a nurse and she's just trying to get her head around all the red tape at the mo. If there's any british nurses in toronto that can give us some advice all is welcome.

I'm in the print game and I'm looking to carry that career on when we finally get over. Any english printers who have made the jump?

Will look forward to any replies and look forward to talking more.

Sorry, no use to you at all - but welcome, and I am sure there are others who will be able to help you with your questions re: employment in Mississauga.

Nursing transition can be a real pain, but get youself to the provinces "college of registered nurses" and dig, dig, dig.

Welcome to the group...

...I admire a woman who wants to emigrate to Mississauga.

Once drove around Mississauga looking for a hotel for an hour after landing in Toronto late at night ... didn't realise that map I was using had a join in it ... that was also when I realised that Canada didn't have roundabouts ... all those little circles were intersections.

Curious what triggered that comment .....

I'd admire a Canadian who wanted to emigrate to Milton Keynes for much the same reasons.

My second choice to moving to Canada involved considering a move to MK ... much maligned place, very well planned with a lot of facilities.

At least in Missisauga you're close to the airport ... or at the very least the flightpath ... one of the reasons Missisauga property is quite so reasonably priced.
