New to BEP

Just to say hello to all the members who are already there or who are looking into moving to Canada.

I'm going through the early stages with our agent at present and will be looking at greater Vancouver to move to. The wife has immediate family in Van so it makes a natural choice for us .
She's a pastry chef and I work in construction management we've already done plenty of ground work concerning the work over there so now its just a waiting game with the company's we are targeting

As for places to live we have been looking at Coquitlam and Port Moody, the OH's family live in North Van, its a little bit to pricy for us as you are looking at a condo only for money we want to spend.

So we will hopefully keep things updated on here for anyone else who's looking to make the move, fingers crossed there will be a cockney family in Canada next spring.

We moved to Coquitlam in the summer. Settled in well, 6yr old in the local school and other half commutes downtown. there are some nice and fairly reasonably priced condos for sale here and in Port Moody. If you want any local advice I will try and be helpful!!

Welcome to BE. Is she any good as a pastry chef? Because if she is, I'd say Vancouver would be an excellent choice of residence.

the word on the street is that Coquitlam is in a busy RE market. Multiple offers on houses.

Hi Tootlepootle

Thanks for the reply, we are coming with our 10 year old daughter so any info about the local schools would be a great help

Thanks

Hi Oink

Not going to big the misses up but she can hold her own in the kitchen if you know what I mean, thanks for encouragement about her work prospects

Cheers
