My head hurts!!!!

Well I've been doing a search about the cost of living in Ontario (GTA) and its all a bit confusing!! I know the answer is never ending because of all the different variants but I really need to find some kind of guide.
I've been offered a job that pay's $25hr for the first 3 months then goes up to $28.50 after that.This means for the first 3 months I'll make $1000 per week $4000 per month. I'll have tax to come off that, rent to pay (1 bed apartment) all the usual utilities, 1 car to run (cheap as chips second hand banger), and my wife to feed. We don't smoke but like a drink every now and again, my wife has a shopping habit (dont they all!!!)and we love the hockey. My OH is going to be working as soon as she finds a job but at the start we'll only have my wage.
So how do you think we'll make out in the first few months?I know its going to be hard a first what ever wage your on but I would love to know is if this wage is realistic.
:confused::confused::confused:

You could probably sustain yourselves on that wage in the short term, but you won't be having a lot fun on it. You should also make sure you've set aside a few thousand for start-up costs (rent, car, furniture, bonds for credit cards, etc).

We survived on a lot less than that living in downtown Toronto. I reckon you'll be fine:thumbup: As long as you're not silly with your money and just don't buy stuff you don't need. Good luck.
