MS as a barrier to Emmigrating to Canada?

My wife who is only 34 years old has relapsing/remitting Multiple Sclerosis but is generally in good health and fully mobile and independent. Does anyone know if this would be a barrier to our emmigration plans or does anyone know of anyone who has been refused a Visa/Permit because of this condition? Thanks

Hi Neil, my sister who is the same age as your wife, has the same type of MS. I am not sure about medical inadmissability although my sister has just started taking beta inteferon which I would guess to be an excessive demand case because of the prohibitive cost. Try searching on the CIC site as I seem to recall finding the DMP medical handbook at one time (although can't quite remember where!) Good luck with your search, I would be interested to hear what others have to say.
