Hi any idea of places to rent which allow pets. Also I would be grateful if anyone has info on best banks mortgages and current account, Internet, mobile phones and how much I should I expect to pay to container my belongings to the island.

Try Kijiji...the ads will indicate if it's okay.

Also, try googling "pet friendly" or "pets welcome" with rent and PEI (or whatever location).

Things have improved for immigrants in the 6 years since we arrived but our biggest realisation when applying for bank accounts, internet, phones etc etc is that we had gone from having 20 years of excellent credit when we weren't turned down for anything, to overnight being new immigrants with NO credit history.... even got turned down for a home depot card! This was the biggest difficulty that we had, be prepared with large cash deposits when you start out, even for electricity accounts and a bank credit card.

I have my bank account already got money for deposits also ... already know whats needed for a credit card but thanks for the heads up.

Just looking forward to the 12th July when I can finally start to relax once the journey is down.
