That has not been my experience, When we came in 2004 the website was full of photos of activities at the school. Aware that that was a while ago, I just checked now and the school has an Instagram account crammed with photos.

OK, must be BC being PC again.
There was lots of fuss a couple of years ago because parents were not being allowed to photograph or video even their own children.

I have to say our realtor has been fantastic. So different to a UK real estate agent.
We told him what we wanted and he found the properties, made appointments, drove us round, showed us the properties, negotiated and sorted all the paperwork. He’s now also helping us get set up connecting with utility suppliers etc. I don’t know what we’d do without him.
We literally had to show up and say ‘we want that one please’. Nothing else!!

Yes, I expect that's true everywhere in Canada, but the trial is in English, or French, with translation of testimony. You cannot elect to have the proceedings conducted in Swahili.
Look, if people don't speak French, they don't. Lots of people in Canada don't and their lives are not blighted. It's silly though to pretend that it's not an advantage to speak both official languages and a greater advantage than any other bilingualism. I think you might be surprised how much French is spoken in Canada, for example, my daughter advertised in French for a francophone nanny and filled the position that day from a long list of applicants, not in Montreal but in Vancouver. Lots of francophones go around speaking English, even Mandarin, blending with the population, some hide in burquas. You don't notice them. At night, of course, they sneak into your fridge and soften your cheeses.

Plus it's a completely different job to that of an estate agent so comparing apples and oranges. They do have the same thing in the UK, they're just called buyers agents or relocation agents.

For the money they get paid, they should be doing that and more! When property goes up 20%, they get a 20% pay hike! To sell a $2m home they can haul in around $50000, only half if there are 2 agents involved, tough life. We know a of realtor who rarely sells property, he lists it, lets the other agents do the leg work and gets half the commission.
