I lived from 1987 to 1994 in Chilliwack...first place we lived when we emigrated. Loved the place....still do...live in New Brunswick for now. Would consider going back.

What led you to the Wack...?

I'm sure 'Dingbat' will be around later tonight to really brighten up your day and tell you all about Chilliwack

All I know is, it has cheap petrol

We live in Chilliwack and hate the place.

There are alot nicer places in the area to live other then Chilliwack.

I am confused. Your older posts say that you live in Edmonton or the States. Did you move here recently? Just curious.

Each to their own I guess. Spuzzum is nice this time of year or maybe Yak. Depends on what you are looking for. If you like busy cities, this is not it. There is crime and less desirable areas, like every town. Every town has its nay sayers, the best way is to visit and make your own mind up.

We moved to Chilliwack a few years ago and pleased we did, don't see us leaving anytime soon. Most schools are good (our kids doing very well), shopping not much, but then I don't like shopping. Costco & Abbotsford shops 30 minutes away, Bellingham an hour or so. Spectacular scenery, easy access to markets for business, lower cost housing. Skiing 90 minutes away, flying from a nice small community airport, 10 minutes. Abbotsford International 40 minutes, Vancouver International 90 minutes, Ferries to the Island 90 minutes (quicker by air though 30 mins Chilliwack to Victoria), Harrison Hot Springs 20 minutes.

First three are a view from all of our East facing windows. Last one is local nature reserve.

Sent one back. Just seen the time, supposed to be doing my homework instead of hanging out on BE! Better get to work.
