Oliver, small town, hot long dry summers, mild winters, lakes, wineries, leisure and pleasure stuff. Ski-ikng close by. Plenty peeps retire there I believe due to climate. Real estate is relativaly cheap I believe ? I think it's within the Southern Okanagan area which is Canada's only desert climate. Kinda unique huh ? Kelowna (in the Central Okanagan) is very dry but only a semi-arid desert climate not the full monty thing.

Come join the Okanagan throng...we'll do what we can to help and share our advice/experiences.... :D never seen anyone from Oliver appear on the forums though, so welcome aboard. If you don't mind me asking how/why Oliver ? Linky thing below...just Google it to death searching for Oliver/Southern Okanagan, Southern BC Interior plus topic.
