How about these positions at the central warehouse ?May not be a
conflict of interest, due to your daughter's connection with CRHA,
worth a try.Good luck.

I just want to bring to your attention that Purchasing Agents or Retail and Wholesale Buyers are not on the occupation pressure lists in Alberta.

The NOC for purchasing agents #1225 or retail and wholesale buyers#6233
Have a look at the demand lists for Alberta and perhaps you may
find an occupation that is quite similar to your present job.

Whereas Retail Trade Managers NOC 0621 are on the demand list .
Hope that helps.

What's your purchasing experience/background?

I would imagine there are many jobs in purchasing to be had in AB what with the oil boom and all. EPC companies in particular if you have the right experience.

Check out monster and workopolis for a start & then google for some of the more specialist purchasing recruitment agencies. For example 'Supplychain Personell' have an operation in Canada.

Partly. I'm currently in Norfolk at my folks. Africa was fantastic. More later when I am actually back (@ the weekend). This lunchtime we took a boat trip to a pub that brews it's own beers (http://www.geldestonlocks.co.uk/) which was fairly wonderful in it's own right. Tonight it's Southwold and Adnams ale. I share this with you as I know you'll appreciate it!:D

I appreciate it in a painfully envious sort of way.

You welcome linashton, lots of jobs available in Calgary .
I just don't want you to go through the headache of the bureaucracy.
Good to know ahead of time what occupations are in demand in AB.
and their NOC #
Good luck,
Yoong

Have a look at the job bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/JobResult_e...t=No&PageNum=1
The job bank is updated regularly and the NOC # is quoted on every position.
Good luck,
