Well, it could be me, but it just separated out again and was most unlike double cream! But thanks, and if you here of anything else, I would be glad to try it.
Regards

Hi Sue,
I do hope that worked,I will have a word with a few of our suppliers, I think we will hit several problems the biggest one being that no fresh animal products are allowed into Canada from the U.K because of all of the BSE etc. Then if we could do it, it would have to be in refrigerated containers so the cost would be very high but as you said there must be enough people interested to cover that problem. I have been keeping my fingers crossed since we got here that it would be one of those things to appear on the shelves like Creme Fraishe (I keep meaning to make that as well but so far have not got round to it....one day!)and several other bits that I miss.

Hi Fuzzbuzz, where abouts are you in Canada. We have a place near Oxford NS, which is not a big dairy area. I will have a word with friends further West and see if they can glean anything.
I'll keep you posted.

Hi Sue,

We are in Winnipeg and the heart of cattle country but no cream, one of our customers told us his friend next door has a cattle farm and so asked if it would be possible to skim the top off the milk so he could have the cream and his friend told him it was more than his license was worth, if he was found out it would be taken away and he would loose his livelihood so I do not get what the big scare is about cream but there seems to be something!!!

Sally

PS.

Let me know if you manage to find anything else out or find a good way to make it...

Sue,

Mum got her Kenwood cream churner attachment off ebay - really expensive new (if you can still get them that is!) Mum is the sort of person that will have a strawberry floating in a pint of cream and after a bout of cancer she needed to put on weight, so my stepdad thought a cream maker would help! It has - not sure it helps her cholesterol levels though. If you want more info I can ask her when I call her this week!
